Free tax service for middle and low income tax payers

AARP Tax-Aide will begin to provide free federal and state income service.

Services are being held at the Douglas Library from 10 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and continue each Tuesday throughout the tax season.

This service is offered to middle and low income tax payers.

Tax payers are asked to bring a copy of last year’s return(s), W-2 for from each employer, unemployment compensation statements, SSA-1099, all 1099 forms which include 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B, 1099-MISC and 1099-R.

Dependent care provider information, receipts or canceled checks if itemizing deductions and social security cards and official documentation for yourself and dependents.
