Three to four males kicked open the door to a reported stash house in Douglas and assaulted eight undocumented aliens. The men threatened, intimidated and assaulted the aliens. The matter is under investigation.

Antonio Delgado Ramirez was arrested and jailed in Douglas for an outstanding warrant out of Florida for Failure to Appear.

Feb. 1, 2013

Roberto Fernandez, age 23, was arrested in Pirtleville and jailed for an outstanding warrant for Failure to Comply.

Feb. 2, 2013

Timothy Sanchez was cited for driving in Douglas with a suspended driver’s license. His vehicle was impounded.

Feb. 3, 2013

Juan Carlos Enriquez, age 18, was arrested and jailed in Douglas for Domestic Violence/Assault and Disorderly Conduct.

Pablo Ricardo Palma, age 86, died in Douglas from apparent natural causes.

Feb. 4, 2013

Jacqueline Lugo, age 19, was arrested in Pirtleville for Domestic Violence/Assault.

Rolled over semi on Davis mm 1.2. No injuries. Driver was checked out by medics. Semi was carrying vegetables. Barnett's Heavy Tow was called and they issued 2 wreckers, but it was not enough and a wrecker from Tucson had to assist. Semi was blocking both lanes.

Ray Miramontes, age 23, was arrested and jailed in Douglas for outstanding warrants for Failure to Pay and Failure to Complete Substance Screen Evaluation.

Feb. 5, 2013

Marco Antonio Corrales Rea, age 28, was cited in Douglas for driving on a suspended driver’s license. His vehicle was impounded.

Andres Gutierrez-Salinas, an illegal alien, age 20, was arrested in Douglas and jailed for Resisting Arrest, Felony Flight, and Smuggling.

Feb. 6, 2013

An elderly driver stopped for gas in Elfrida and left without paying. The vehicle was later stopped at the Hwy 191 Border Patrol checkpoint where the driver was detained until deputies arrived and escorted the driver back to Elfrida to pay for the gas.

Jesus Antonio Vega, age 21, was cited for driving in Pirtleville with a suspended driver’s license. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

A resident of S. Catclaw Rd. in Sunizona reported someone had broken into his residence through a piece of Plexiglas above his AC unit and stolen various food items.

Rigoberto Martinez, age 19, was stopped on W. Brooks Rd. in Douglas and arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Transportation of Marijuana for Sale, Involving a minor in a Drug Offense, Smuggling a UDA under the age of 18, and fleeing a pursuing law enforcement vehicle.

Feb. 8, 2013

James Stutz, age 35, was arrested in Sunsites and jailed for Domestic Violence/Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage.

Feb. 9, 2013

Miguel Daniel Luna, age 20, was cited in Douglas for driving with a suspended driver’s license. His vehicle was impounded.

Feb. 10, 2013

Orlando Mahtapene-Chavez was cited at the Pearce Border Patrol checkpoint for driving without a valid license. His vehicle was impounded.

Mary Luke, age 43, was arrested in Elfrida and jailed for Domestic Violence/ Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage.

Feb. 12, 2013

Two illegal aliens were apprehended on Prince Rd. near McNeal and jailed for transporting marijuana into the United States.

Linda Nixon Trujillo was driving in Douglas with a suspended driver’s license. She was cited and her vehicle was impounded.

Kristopher Lopez, age 18, was arrested in Douglas and jailed for Trafficking in Stolen Goods.

Feb. 13, 2013

There was a report of horses in the road in the Leslie Canyon and Old Ranch Rd. area.

Adalay Mendez Medina, an illegal alien, age 26, was arrested in Pirtleville after a pursuit and cited for, Felony Flight, Resisting Arrest, and Endangerment. He was turned over to USBP for Human Smuggling offenses.

Horses were again reported on Leslie Canyon and were removed by a deputy.

Kathleen W. Levin, age 58, passed away at her home in Elfrida from unknown causes.

Feb. 15, 2013

A resident of Elfrida reported receiving a counterfeit $5 bill while in Glendale.

While being pursued by USBP, a white GMC pickup drove through the property located at 2000 W. Dove Lane in Douglas and struck several vehicles and other property.

Feb. 16, 2013

An illegal alien reported being assaulted by his guide after being led into the United States illegally near Douglas.

Maria Sandoval was cited for driving in Douglas with a suspended driver’s license and her vehicle was impounded.

Diane Nicole Verdugo, age 26, was arrested in Elfrida and jailed for an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear.

Feb. 17, 2013

The Douglas Port of Entry received a bomb threat that turned out to be a hoax.

Luis Amarillas, age 21, was arrested and jailed for driving on Hwy 191 with speeds in excess of 86 MPH.

Bryan Avitabile, age 29, was arrested in Cochise and jailed for Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Feb. 18, 2013

A Douglas Police Unit collided with a mesquite tree while trying to avoid a collision with a driver who made an unsafe u-turn in front of his vehicle.

Robert Catano, age 34, was driving in Kansas Settlement with a suspended driver’s license. His vehicle was impounded and he was cited.

Feb. 19, 2013

A border patrol agent collided with about 10 feet of fence on the International Boundary Rd. The agent’s vehicle sustained about $3,000.00 worth of damage. The SUBP will repair the fence.

Feb. 20, 2013

Estevan Franco, age 32, was arrested in Douglas and jailed for an outstanding warrant for Probation Violation.

Feb. 21, 2013

Sue Naïve Lopez, age 33, was driving in Elfrida on a suspended driver’s license. Lopez also had two outstanding warrants for Failure to Appear. She was jailed and her vehicle was impounded.

A minor was cited for driving in Douglas without a driver’s license. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

There was a one vehicle, non-injury, roll-over accident on Border Road.

Francisco Isaiah Rivera, age 21, unlawfully took a 2003 Pontiac from Elfrida. He was later apprehended and jailed.

Christopher Lee Radcliff, age 36, was arrested and jailed in Douglas for an outstanding warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Francisco Guerrero, age 18, was cited for driving in Douglas with a suspended driver’s license. His vehicle was impounded.

Feb. 25, 2013

An AK 47 was seized from a driver in Douglas after a traffic stop due to no proof of ownership.

Xavier Morales, age 44, was arrested in Douglas and jailed for an outstanding warrant for Child Support.

Jacqueline Lugo, age 19, was arrested in Pirtleville and jailed for Domestic Violence/ Assault.

Feb. 26, 2013

A resident of S. Walden Rd. in Pearce reported someone had taken a glass pane from a window and entered his residence. Approximately $300.00 was taken in food and linens.

A residence of Gleeson was burglarized after an unknown person kicked the door in and took several items valued at approximately $1,000.00.
