In February, Cochise College began renovating its gymnasium on the Douglas Campus. The work is scheduled for completion by the middle of August.
"It's undergone different iterations of things, but most of it has been temporary walls or what I would call mild modifications," he said. "We put the print shop in where the wrestling room used to be, and those sorts of things."
The print shop has since relocated, leaving only athletic activities in the gymnasium. Renovations will be completed in three phases and should help the overall layout of the building become more functional. Changes include new office spaces for coaches, a combined weight room and fitness lab, new locker and shower spaces, and more space for athletic trainers.
