On August 14th, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents assisted the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) Criminal Investigations division with a search warrant at Chatita’s Mexican Restaurant, located at 301 E 10th Street, and Border Taco, located at 103 5th Street.

According to ICE Spokesperson, Amber Cargile, this was related to an ongoing criminal investigation.

No additional information was provided by the IRS Special Agent Public Information Officer Brain Watson.

“Both restaurants were closed for about six hours,” owner Ruth Durazo said. “Chatita’s was opened by 2 p.m.”

I always thought something was fishy about these people and I no longer eat there due to the way they get creative with your bill at the end.
