A large crowd of people showed up and lots of candy were handed out at the City of Douglas’ Trunk or Treat event held at Copper King Stadium on Halloween night.
“We are calling this our best turn out yet,” said Jennifer Smith, the event organizer. “This is the eighth year the city hosts the Trunk or Treat event and (this was) our best turnout yet. We are pleased with the feedback received from the community and the organizations who participated in the event. This year we topped our attendance numbers and participants from past years with 4,000 attendees and 23 trunkers. A special thanks to our event sponsors, trunkers, and city staff for making this event a success.”
Each year there is a contest for the best trunk. Southwest Gas was picked the winner this year, APS was second and Romantic Realties third.
Event sponsors this year were: Freeport McMorran, APS, Southwest Gas, NPL, and Dairy Queen.
