The number of confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Cochise County has increased to 45, 16 of those reportedly being in the Douglas area, officials at the Cochise County Health Department reported Friday morning.
Information as to how many of the eight active Cochise County cases are in the Douglas area is not available at the moment. Data shows 37 of the reported cases have been released from isolation, no deaths have been recorded, and the number of people tested in the county is now at 2,080.
Across the state, 13,169 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19, resulting in 651 deaths.
According to data on the county website 25 women and 20 men in Cochise County have tested positive for the Coronavirus. Nineteen of the cases have been contracted by people in the 20-44 age group; 10 in the 55-64 age group, followed by nine in those 65 and older.
According to state data, Douglas’ zip code of 85607, shows 16 cases of COVID-19 now being reported while the Sierra Vista area has 12.
