Douglas’ annual Veteran’s Day parade will take place Monday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. up G Avenue.
Parade organizers are inviting the public to attend the parade as well as the observance that will follow at the American Legion post home.
Parade organizers say there is still time for anyone interested in having a float in the parade. In order to be in the parade please stop by the American Legion on G Avenue and fill out and entry form. There is no charge.
The parade will start at Third Street and G Avenue and end at the American Legion.
All performances and salutes will be held in front of the American Legion Post VIP seating and review area which will be staged at 13th St. and G Ave.
Parade entry deadline is this Saturday, Nov. 9.
The Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 11 encourages veterans, citizens, government agencies, businesses, schools, public servants and everyone to recognize, honor, and remember all the members of the Armed Forces, in particular those who have served, and continue to serve from our immediate area.
