A presentation/update from Ginny Jordan regarding the Wall of Faces project is one of 15 items on the Douglas City Council meeting agenda.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall.
Also on the council agenda are several recognitions for a local business, a local organization, as well as a retiring city employee.
Four resolutions are on the agenda for approval. One of the resolutions authorizes the city to accept a $2,500 grant from Walmart to the Douglas Police Department that will be used for the Department’s Annual Cops and Kids event.
Another resolution deals with the acceptance of grant funding in the amount of $22.900 from the State of Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. This is a reimbursable grant that will be used to pay for personnel overtime expenses and employee related expenses for DUI Task Force activities under this state funded grant program.
One of remaining resolutions deals with the City of Douglas entering into a mutual release and settlement agreement with the Center for Academic Success (CAS), involving outstanding issues on a 2018 real estate transaction.
There will also be a call to the public period in which those at the meeting, who after filling out a request to address the council card and presenting it to the city clerk can address the mayor and council for up to three minutes.
The council meeting will be streamed live on YouTube. The link for the meeting can be found on the City of Douglas website at www.douglasaz.gov.
