Francisco Silveira Valenzuela
September 8, 1948 — April 6, 2020
Francisco Silveira Valenzuela, affectionately known as Frankie – Nino Frankie, was born on September 8, 1948 in Clifton, Arizona and entered into eternal rest on April 6, 2020.
He entered into the world so quick and unexpected that he was delivered at home, an early glimpse of what was to come and how he would “march to the beat of his own drum” and live life his way. The family moved to Douglas, Arizona until October 1962 and eventually settled in Oroville, California – a thriving community.
Frankie graduated from Oroville Union High School in 1967. He enrolled at Butte Community College while working part-time for Oroville Medical Center. After a final move back to Douglas, Frankie enrolled at Cochise Community College and ultimately went to work at the Douglas County Hospital. Frankie would spend the better part of the rest of his life helping the family after the unexpected loss of their father, especially his mother. He was her caretaker, helper, and live-in home care until she was called home to the Lord in 2012.
He was an avid reader and was known for walking everywhere he went (usually reading a book or one stuffed in his back pocket), with a relaxed but confident stride – proving he would always “march” through life his way.
Frankie was a most humble – loving Son-Brother-Uncle-Godparent and Friend. He had the kindest of Hearts. He might not have had much in material possessions, but he was generous “to a fault”! Not just to his Family but to friends and strangers as well. We – who were blessed to have had him in our Lives – will always remember his Loving – Generous – Kind Ways about him. He has left a “big hole” in our Hearts and He will Dearly be Missed – Although we will carry on as he would want us to – To have a Good Life – To Enjoy Life – Be Kind to Each Other – Be There for Each Other and to “Always give a helping hand to one in Need” – That is his Legacy!!!
He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio McGrew Valenzuela; mother, Romana Silveira Valenzuela, sisters, Ana Maria Valenzuela and Leonor S. Valenzuela (Zertuche). Survived by his life partner Dora Isela Martinez Reyes; Goddaughter, Anabel Estrella and her children, Andre Estrella and Eder Francisco Estrella and siblings, Rafaela Silveira Valenzuela Edwards, Antonio Silveira Valenzuela, Santiago Silveira Valenzuela and Lupe Valenzuela and their respective spouses and children ie: numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and enjoyed every moment that he spent with them.
