Richard David “Cayo” Cisneros
Richard “Cayo “ went home to his savior on May 11, 2019 in Long Beach, California.
He was 88-years-old. Born in Douglas May 22, 1930, he is preceded in death by his parents Dolores Segovia and Luis Cisneros, his sisters, Mary C. Valenzuela, Paula Zaragoza; brothers, Albert, Martin, Ramon “Porky”, Luisito Cisneros, and his belated wife Dorothy Burrow. He is survived by his wife Rosie, his children Richard L. (Susanne), Sandra (Enrique) Gonzalez, Ann, Veronica and John Cisneros. He also leaves behind nine grandkids and 14 great grandchildren.
Richard was a kind and loving man who filled in as a father figure when possible to his sister Mary’s children Lydia, Terry, Joe, Elvia and Louie Valenzuela after the death of their father in 1963. He served in the United States Army and worked for Phelps Dodge copper mines in Bisbee and retired from Kaiser Steel as a crane Supervisor in Fontana, California.
He will be missed dearly. Forever in our hearts, may he Rest in Peace. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
