Rosalinda “Linda” Bojorquez

Rosalinda “Linda” Bojorquez

August 22, 1947 – March 29, 2019

Rosalinda “Linda” Bojorquez went to be with our Lord, on Friday, March 29, 2019, after an unexpected blood borne infection that devastated her immune system which was already complicated by her frail health and surgery.

Linda was born in Douglas, Arizona, to Enrique and Guadalupe Wilkinson on August 22,1947. A graduate of Douglas High School’s 1967 class, she married Hector E. Bojorquez in 1969. Linda was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church in Douglas, attending and participating for both parishes, St. Luke’s and Immaculate Conception. She worked at both Southeast Arizona Medical Center and Cochise County Health Department for many years. One of Linda’s greatest joys was family. A mom first and foremost, she attended as many of her kid’s games or matches, often in between running to her second job from the first, always rooting them on and heckling refs or umpires. She was particularly devoted to her grandchildren, who seemed to benefit the most from her love. Linda’s love language was gifts. Whether candies, ice cream, a few dollars slipped into pockets or Easter baskets, all her grandkids can attest that “Nani” gave the very best gifts. Her love for people extended beyond immediate family, to include family friends. She provided so much love and assistance to those who asked, never questioning, reminding us, it’s always better to give than to receive.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Hector E. Bojorquez, her father, Enrique Wilkinson and her mother, Guadalupe Wilkinson. She leaves a legacy that includes her daughters, Rosanna Bojorquez and Sereslinda (Johnny) McGee and son, Andres Bojorquez. Her grandchildren, Adriana Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Aidan Garcia, Hunter Garcia, Nathan Bojorquez and Emma Bojorquez. Her siblings, Henry Wilkinson, Norma Wilkinson, Tomas Wilkinson, Frank Wilkinson, her mother in law, Sereslinda Brown, and many other relatives, including sister/brother in laws, nephews, nieces and cousins. Our family would like to thank all the caregivers, nurses, techs and staff at TMC’s Peppi’s House who provided loving and compassionate care during our Mom’s last days of transitioning.

Services for Linda will be held on Saturday, April 13 with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception church, 928 C. Ave, Douglas, AZ 85607 followed by the interment of her ashes at Douglas Cemetery and a reception at CYC Hall, across the street from Immaculate Conception church from 12:30 to 3 p.m. All are welcome.
