The Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety would like to invite you to join this year’s “Child Passenger Safety Week” campaign that will be conducted from September 23, 2018 through September 29, 2018.
Your participation in this national effort will help ensure the safety of young children traveling roadways in your community and throughout Arizona.
The national “Child Passenger Safety Week” campaign is conducted by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
We ask that with your participation in this campaign, your agency conducts enhanced enforcement and public visibility of the child passenger safety laws during this one week period.
Law enforcement agencies are encouraged to partner with fire departments, hospitals, health and community organizations to provide educational and public awareness activities promoting the proper use of child safety seats.
I strongly encourage you to support this campaign. If your agency plans to participate, please e-mail GOSH Occupant Protection Coordinator Gabby Gallegos at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Materials are available at no cost by accessing the NHTSA website at www.nhtsa.gov. Thank you for your continued effort to ensure traffic safety for the residents of Arizona.
