Dear Editor:

We would like to thank all those people who helped make the 2019 Douglas High School "D Week" a great success.

To our students, parents, staff, and athletic coaches for their participation and help in making floats for the D-Week Parade.

To Douglas Police and Fire Departments for providing security and safety at the D-Week Parade and Bonfire, and especially to Chiefs Lomeli and Fullen for their organization and coordination.

To Melissa Grijalva at the City of Douglas for helping us organize the D-Week Parade, and Anel Lopez at the Gadsden Hotel for allowing us to use the lovely Gadsden balcony for our float judges.

To Fernando Quinonez and the staff of the DUSD Maintenance Department for providing pallets and set up for the Bonfire.

To DUSD IT Department, especially Frank Ybarra and Edith Rivera, for the PA system at the Bonfire.

To the Douglas Rotary Club and Max Tapia for lighting D Hill, and helping continue an old tradition for our community.

To Superintendent Ana Samaniego, Assistant Superintendent Fernando Nunez, Principal Randy Walker, Assistant Principal Geraldina Trevino, Assistant Principal Albert Young and Athletic Director Angel Ortega for their support, encouragement and enthusiasm in the lead up to D-Week and during D-Week.

To Mrs. Josie Rosadillo and Ms. Esmeralda Chavez for their vital help in processing all our paperwork and financial records. You are valued greatly by us!

To DJ Manny Burgos, Fernando Pineda, and our staff chaperones in helping make our Homecoming Dance a success.

To all the students, parents, teachers, staff, and community members who participated by showing up, cheering us on at the parade, bonfire, and other events throughout the week: thank you for showing terrific Bulldog spirit and pride.

And special congratulations and thank you to Mr. Bruce Whetten, this year's D-Week Dedicatee. Thank you for always supporting Douglas High School students in our athletic and academic events! We appreciate you!

Our sincere appreciation and thanks, to each and every one of you!
