The 14th edition of the Arizona 6-Day race commenced at 11 a.m. this past Monday at the 15th Street Park.
It will conclude at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 20, on the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11.
There are currently 13 participants from three states and Mexico taking part in the marathon.
The course is a three-quarter mile circuit around the park. The winner is determined by the marathoner who completes the most miles during the 6-Day framework. Race participants can walk or run whenever they feel like it during the race
The public is invited to walk a few laps with the participants.
