DHS golfers play 2 matches

Douglas High School’s golf team was back in action last week playing two matches in a three-day period.

On Tuesday, Aug. 27 the Bulldog golfers were at the Randolph Golf Course in Tucson for a match with Salpointe and Walden Grove.

Jay Zamora led the Bulldogs this match shooting a score of 44. Freshmen Aiden Rodriguez and Colton Boone each shot scores of 50. Victor Oviedo recorded a score of 53 and Trent Foreman closed out the scoring with a score of 63.

On Thursday, Aug. 29 Sahuaro brought just three golfers to Douglas for a match at the Douglas Golf Course. Zamora again led the Douglas golfers this match shooting a score of 40. Boone followed with a 46, Oviedo recorded a 47, Foreman had a 53 and Rodriguez closed out with a 64.

The Bulldogs are off all this week and return to action Monday, Sept. 9 when they host Sahuarita which will be followed by a home match two days later against Palo Verde.
