With four and a half minutes remaining in the match, Anahi Hernandez scored for Cochise off an Azarias assist giving the Lady Apaches a 2-0 lead.

Cochise and Mesa each had eight shots on goal. Brianna Guzman, former goalie for the Lady Bulldogs, who was named the Goalkeeper of the Week Sept. 16-22, had seven saves in the shutout.

The Lady Apaches, 5-4-1 overall, 4-0-1 in conference play, are tied with Western for second place in the conference. Pima sits in first place at 8-3, 5-0 in league play.

Cochise hosts South Mountain on Thursday and then heads to Gateway College on Saturday. Both opponents are winless in conference play this season.
